Fox Quest2/Book quest - HELP needed please!

Ok, got the fox (now an adult), got the book from the Usual place, went back to the desert - so where do I find a shovel? I thought perhaps the fox as an adult would be able to dig. No, didn't work. So I'm stumped. (passed the time snatching up dragon eggs).

Oh, yeah, in case it matters: Red dragon is adult, too. Completed Fire island quest (emerald do-hickey), found ancient coin on other island. After that, nothing happened.

So I did the serpent pass quest (got that egg; it's now hatched). Can't afford any eggs from the Dark Island (only have @ 5,000 gp - eggs there are very very, $$$$$).

Anyone? (or is that in progress too?). (went to the Northeastern island but it said I was already rewarded, but I wasn't) must be a glitch.

That quest isn't finished yet. You're on the right track, there's just no next step yet.

Oh, Good! So how are people getting more than one fox? Is that thru the pirates?

From what I've gathers. Reb had it where you could get as many as you could afford by buying maps. He closed it however, so now there's a limit of 1. Some users are breeding them for others so you can probably ask someone. =)
