I'm thinking of starting a personal lineage project.

My idea is to create a line of dragons that would have 2 great-grandparents from each "Nation," finally combining to one 4th generation dragon who would have the title "Avatar," and be 'descended' from all 4 nations.

So, like this:
EarthxEarth ; FirexFire ; WaterxWater ; AirxAir
| | | |
| | | |
V V V V
Earth x Fire ; Water x Air
| |
| |
V V
Earth+fire x Water+Air
|
|
V
Earth+Fire+Water+Air = Avatar

I'm thinking of using Stone and Green/Pebble dragons for Earth; Water and Deepsea dragons for Water; Gray, Sunrise/Sunset, and Stripe dragons for air; and Red and Hellfires for Fire.
Do you guys have any other suggestions of dragons to use? I'm going to do multiple CB breeding sets for each nation, so I'm going to need a bunch!

Stripe dragons don't seem very Air-y to me. Skywing dragons, however, very much so. Also Helium dragons, but they're... stupid... and Daydream dragons but they don't embody the Air archetype very well.

Other than that, I agree with your selections. Like a Star @ heaven

/edit: Oh, and don't forget Crystal or Vine dragons, for earth!

Of course I think of more after I've already sent.

Blue-finned Blunas, Coastal Waverunners or Shallow Water dragons could also work for water. Perhaps Canopy dragons, for earth, but that's a little more of a stretch. Additionally, Lightning dragons could even be used for Fire. Wink And the Seasonal dragons could be used as well, because each season corresponds to an element, in the Avatar world: Fire=Summer, Autumn=Air, Winter=Water, Spring=Earth.

The Guardian of Nature dragon is already pretty close to an Avatar, although it only combines three of four/five elements.

I don't think I'll be using the Balloons or Daydreams, because I don't care much for the sprites. ((Just a matter of personal preference, and because I sort of had it out with the sprite artist of the Daydreams/Frills... we don't get along very well. I'd just rather not include one of her dragons, immature as that may be.))

The problem with Blunas, Shallow Waters, and Geodes is that they only result from breeding pairs. You can't get the caveborn to start this lineage. I think I will include a Skywing under the Air Nomads, since that may allow for a Bluna later down the line once mixed with Water. Geodes are possible through the Earth Kingdom pairs. Guardians of Nature would be choice, but they can't breed.

The reason the white Stripe is included for Air at the moment is, well, because I happen to have CB one that was Unnamed... All dragons in the lineage will either have the setup of "____ of the ((Air Nomads; Fire Nation; etc.)) or "Avatar ____."

Lightnings for Fire are a great idea, as are Seasonals that match their element. If I pick up any rare CBs, they will also be included.
