Blood Cells

How do we get them? I remember seeing their release but have never seen any around (in the wild). I thought I was just unlucky and just hadn't been looking at the right time but I notice on the wiki it says you need to duplicate one? Does this mean breeding and you can only obtain sold/abandoned offspring anymore or what??

You can't find them in the wild anymore.
The only way you can get them is if you duplicate a red blood cell or get one from the trading post or the abandoned island.

Okay. Now, is duplicate just a themed way of saying breeding or some form of quest or something??

Duplicate is like breeding. (it's like asexual reproduction-where there only has to be 1 parent)
Every 20 days your (adult) red blood cell has a chance to duplicate, if it's successful it has a baby red blood cell.
