Writing Prompts

I took a creative writing class my senior year of high school (holy moly, it's already been nearly a year since I've graduated... Wow) and one thing I really liked about it was starting the class with a writing prompt. There would be one on the board, or in our textbook, or the teacher would read one off, and we'd have a few minutes to just write what came to mind. I found it fun, and I wrote a few hilarious drabbles for that.

But anyway. I figure we can use this thread for some writing prompts. Feel free to offer up a few of your favorites, or some that you've stumbled across. If these help to get the creative juices flowing from writer's block or something, great! :D

Here are some prompts that I remember from my creative writing class, or have found before:

• I'm an assassin hired to kill...
  
• Without leaving your room, describe a way to kill someone/yourself using the items around you.
  
• Describe an event from a time in which you couldn't have been alive.

Um, phazon, why do most of your prompts... involves someone getting hurt/disappearing? xD
