Dragon Hawks

Just that you know I have absolutely no knowledge about Avatar. I just looked around it's wiki in search for a creature I could sprite.

I actually found a few nice ones but the Dragon or Messenger Hawks are along my favourite ones by look.

My progress so far: I made a sprite and an egg.

It's only flood filled now and the left wing isn't completely done, but I wanted to know what others think of it first before I go too much into detail.

Also do we want to make 2 versions of them with one carring those boxes on their back and the other without?

Yea, maybe could you make the wings a bit bigger but the body is okay, i think.

Derp, the body is too big XD. Actual size. See, I made the toucan Puffins very small. It is because they are actually very small in the show so they are small in the game. Hawks aren't big so the adult needs to be like 2 times the size of the Toucan Puffin adult. Sorry....

Okay I didn't know that we are going with the show sizes. 'xD By the way will they be common? Since they are used like doves I would think so.

The hawks will be a little more rare than the Toucn Puffins but not too rare. Just a tad bit. XD

Can you tell people on the Avadopts thread that I am temporarily unavailable on the DC forum? My warn level is like 70% and I can't reply to ANYTHING until the 10th of september...

Is this size better?



Ofcourse this is not a resized versions since sprites will look all blurry when resized so I'm back at square one.

True but how should it be obtained?
Giving only one gender a message box seems unfair. Making them alts would make them too desirable for me to get one. Maybe you get the message one only through breeding since they would be very tamed to do that but I have no idea how to implement that. xD

I like getting the message one only through breeding but we have to ask Rebsingh if he can do that.

No message box. It is actually pretty useless, it would just add too many things to make in the sprite. I am going to touch some things up on the sprite.

I just made the beak more prominent and added somethings to the wing... that is all. 3:

And now I took some of your edits and transfered them too the sprite.



Now the 2 black lines you took away are actually the 2 large plumes they have. They belong to them so please don't pull the feathers out. xD
And the white space between the wings has to do with anatomy. If you look at the left wing the handfeathers are biger than the other feathers. So on the right wing it's the same.^^ The wing looks smaller since it's further away but the handfeathers still needs to be bigger than the rest. Making them all the same size would be not right. Besides it helps to distinguish the wings too.

Oyes... lol anfd the black part being taken away was MSPaints fault (When you paste a transparent image, the background becomes black so when I made it white, it made the tail feathers white (Dissapear))

You should try the hatchlings now, I think a lot of people would like this in the game ^^
