market place problem?
I'm trying to buy the iceburg map and everytime I click it a new window comes up saying "It seems you have not come from within the website. Redirecting to home page..." and whatnot. I use IE and can't change servers, since this is a school-issued laptop. Help?

Are you capable of download FF or Google Chrome? I would suggest doing so.

Nope. My school has the internal server blocked with a proxy so that even if I DO download it, it won't work.

Hopefully Rebs will fix this because this must be painful for you.

Java referrers just don't work with IE. Nothing to fix except the retarded browser. Sorry :/

I don't know why schools insist on using IE. Colleges give you three choices for browsers.

Darn it. Our school is big on 'No goofing off while in school.' which Chrome and Firefox can do with Tabs--if the teacher walks by, they can't see what all we're on since the Tabs are so small. They've disabled Tabs and any visual changes on our laptops, aka backgrounds. I'll see if I can bypass the proxy and download Chrome, but until then, no Library Fox or Koi Fish for me.

Re: market place problem?
Here's the wierd thing... I use IE and for a while I was able to buy things from the ancient artifacts room - maps, gender potions, the bucket of ooze when it was there and paint (not food for pets though.). I could never buy from rare creatures or market place.
I started being able to buy things around Halloween (thats when the ooze showed up) but starting somewhere between thanksgiving and Dec. 3rd I can't buy those things anymore, I get the " you have not come from within the site blah blah" message. Perhaps something was changed on the artifacts page coding in that time? What ever it was may be the key to allowing users with IE to buy things.

I had deleted the referrer code so that people would be able to do the event. But the bad thing with that is, people could get things for any amount of GP by changing the URL in the top.seranata wrote:Here's the wierd thing...
