Death.....
So.. have u experienced it?
I experienced it last month and tonight.
Last month, a kid in my own grade committed suicide.
Tonight, my hamster died of some unknown reason. He was the cutest furball that ever lived. He would always hide little pieces of food in his mouth... I can post a picture.
I wish I could hold him in my hands again. He was so squishy and scared all the time. :'(

Re: Death.....
Ouch! That's sad D:
My grandfather died when I was 9, because of stroke. He had to go to the hospital on Christmas's Eve of 2004. before that, my great uncle died in Oct 2003, he had health problems and that he couldn't eat or drink anymore.
I've had a couple of dogs, an iguana, and 3 ferrets die.
The dog died when I was four, had heart problems and her head was stuck in the fence. Other died from old age - well had to be put to sleep.
The iguana just died one night, lived for well 8 years. It was my brother's pet though.
The 3 ferrets. They died when I was 8, 11, and 14. My oldest ferret right now is Narol and she's 9 years old. She had been taken to the vet 2 weeks ago and they found out Narol doesn't have much left to live. Around 1-2 months from now.
Plus, a good friend of mine was killed in a car crash when I was in 7th grade. She was going to DisneyWorld for the first time..but killed in South carolina. So she never made it.

Aw, i feel sorry for you.
Your hamster looked really cute...
It's horrible to lose a pet, i'm experienced with it :<
I don't know why someone would commit suicide.
I'm happy to live even when my life is pretty hard sometimes but who am i to say something about that...

I've had lizards, frogs, and fish die. One of my lizards, Hera, died a few days ago. The most painful death I've been through was my first cat's. I had her since I was an infant, and she died in 2005.

Re: Death.....
I'm sorry Reb. :C I've only lost gerbils, but I wasn't too attached to them, and I was a kid, so I don't really remember them... I definitely don't think I cried when they died, but anyway.
Though the hardest death for me was my grandpa, on my mom's side of the family. He died... I think it's 6 years ago, now, but I distinctly remember it being in grade school, either 7th or 8th grade (prolly 8th). I remember that my parents emailed by teachers that I would miss school for the wake and funeral (the wake and funeral were being held in Puerto Rico, where my grandparents on my mom's side lived). So that was really hard for me, especially since I wasn't that close to my grandpa, and I really regretted it than, and now. I remember crying during the funeral, and I remember trying to hide my tears from my cousin, because... well, I don't remember why. XD Maybe it's because I wanted to look cool to him? Anyway...
I remember being angry that one of my 'friends' (friend at the time, not really anymore...) had pretty much told everyone where I was that whole time, even though I didn't want anyone else other than my teachers to know... Basically just the mention of my grandfather would set me on edge, and I would be hard-pressed to not cry during school. :I Peer pressure... But yeah...
That was pretty much the only death in the family that hit me that hard. I've had friends of my grandparents (on my dad's side) die, but I either didn't know them, or didn't spend much time with them.. -shrugs-
Still, death is hard. It's not fun, and it really sucks when it's someone you know... Because then you feel like you didn't spend enough time with them, or you didn't say everything that you wanted to say... /babbles

I lost one of my rats a few months ago, and my cat just before that. I've also lost a guinea pig and some fish. I haven't lost a close family member yet, and I dread that day.

Re: Death.....
I'm full of sad stories :<
-The sister of my grandma is going to die, and she knows it. It's just so sad for her husband, becouse they were so in love and they still are. But when she dies, he'll be alone...
My grandma almost died last year and if this happens, i don't know what it will do to her. She is already alone.
-The sister of my grandfather in Poland fell of a stairs an broke both arms, she is already old and she has to take care of her husband who has diabetes. The rest of the family is taking care of them.
-My uncle had a stroke a few weeks ago. Luckily he survived.
I also fear the day that someone dies and i'm scared of death becouse i had to deal with it many times. It truly makes me cry if i think about all the times i had to fight for my live and members of family had to fight for their lives and the people and animals i've lost.

Re: Death.....
Hm, I lost my last grandparent, my grandmother on my dad's side, last month. She had Alzheimer's disease. Luckily she passed away peacefully in her sleep.
I've lost so many pets and such that I don't even cry anymore about it nor am I afraid of death. The last time I cried over someone's death was back in 1999 when my grandmother on my mom's side died due to a car crash.
I'm not heartless, I just don't feel sad about it anymore.
My first experience with death was when I was 5 or 6. My dog Pepper had run away because my mother wasn't keeping an eye on him and he got hit. I only had him for a few months. I got another dog after that named Missy. We had to put her down 4 years ago because of a cancerous tumor that we couldn't afford to have removed. She was 11 years old. My cat of 11 years died this year. I have no clue as to how she died. One day she was alive, the next she was in a box on my front porch dead. :/ I'm still troubled over that. There were no signs of blood, trauma, broken bones or anything. I can only guess she died of age or poisoning.

I can't believe that you don't even feel sad about it. Like you didn't loved them and i'm sure you did.

Re: Death.....
I don't feel that sad about my grandfather's death anymore, but that doesn't mean that I didn't love him. I'm not going to wallow in the past, drowning myself in my grief over the loss of the grandfather, because I didn't get a chance to know him better.user560 wrote:ignite444 wrote:Hm, I lost my last grandparent, my grandmother on my dad's side, last month. Thing is, you learn to take it after a while. If you've experienced enough death, then you've hardened yourself to it. You become immune. It doesn't mean you don't love them. You just no longer feel the same sadness anymore.
But Ignite, that sucks about your cat. I get the feeling it was old age. Either that, or someone poisoned her, and left her out.. Then someone who recognized your cat brought her to you. I dunno, but that still sucks. I've heard many a story about pets being murdered for no reason at all.

Re: Death.....
What PD said. Some people just harden themselves after experiencing it, and we are two of them.
Well, Duchess was an outside and inside cat, being outside a lot might have shortened her life. She could have gotten ill as well without us knowing.
