Question: Creature limit reached?

I wanted to buy a hatchling from the trading post but it said my creature limit was reached. Yes, I have 5 eggs but that's not usually related to hatchlings. Have the rules changed?

I don't remember. I found one that's an adult and tried to adopt it (blue dragon) level 75 and it said "Pixiequeen, you have obtained the max creatures for now." should I reboot or something? I've seen people with more creatures than I have (I have 198).

If you have five eggs, hatchlings from outside your own zoo also count toward the limit. You can have as many hatchlings in your zoo as you want and still grab up to the max of five eggs (for now), but if you have five eggs, it basically locks your zoo to any new additions at all.
