Should there be a place for poems?

Well I'm sure there are others besides me on this site who enjoy writing poetry. Many people like to have others read their poems and such and this could be a place to post it. You could even hold competitions for poems about certain things on the site, like creatures or the nations. I would like to see a section for that. Just a request...

Or maybe a page for poems on the site, like a page in a library or something and we can steadily add 'books' and comics and poems?

I think a place for poetry would be a good idea, in the User Interaction section. However, I strongly disagree with the idea of poetry competitions. That's just inviting unnecessary hurt feelings; no one's poetry should be judged on its worth by virtue of losing to someone else's.

@Spirit: Yeah, that's sound AWESOME! I couldn't have ever thought of that.

@Mineya: Yeah, good point. But, if the person is sensitive and knows they will get their feeling hurt if they don't win, then they shouldn't enter.....

As long as poetry is being mentioned, why not a catch-all forum for writing in general? With a subforum for fanfiction?
