Quest Trouble? Try This!

Since so many people seem to be completely baffled by the quests, here's a trick that might make your lives easier.

Download Google Chrome.*

If you're using Google Chrome to browse the site, any time you come to one of those quest pages that has you wiggling your mouse all over the place to find a pixel-sized link, just hit Tab instead! If your page is active (as in, make sure you aren't hitting Tab in an IM box or something), hitting the Tab button over and over will systematically highlight every clickable link on the page, one by one. Just hit Tab until you find the clickable pixels (you should see a box pop up around the selected link, and that box will move over each link in turn), and then click them until you find the right one. Easy breezy!

This is mostly useful with the Lion Turtle quest. The Library Fox quest is a lot easier -- everything you need to click is actually visible. Hopefully it will be helpful when the Koi quest comes out, too. I got permission from Reb to post this; don't worry, he doesn't consider it cheating. ;)

/edit: Thanks to PhazonDragon, we have confirmation that this trick also works using Safari!

*If for some reason you aren't able to download Google Chrome, then I can't help you. This trick doesn't work on Firefox, at least for me. Sorry! :(

Thought I'd mention that this trick works with Safari, if there are any fellow Mac users out there. :D

The tab button on your keyboard. Left side, just above capslock?

I am using Firefox and decided to try out using my Tab key. To my pleasant surprise, it worked!

took me awhile to figure it out, thank you so much for the help, I never would have figured it out myself

Thats really cool! I have a question though, you're supposed to find a little blue dot on a map or another, but I can't find it! Its for the Sea Serpent Quest

I assume you mean the part of the Sea Serpent quest where you need to find the baby? ;) Try looking around the Abandoned Shack.

This thing works in FireFox too.

Okay, well, I don't know what to tell you. It doesn't work when I do it, and I have Multi Links activated too. Possibly it's because I'm using a Mac, but obviously I can't say that for sure. If other people have success with using Firefox for this trick, then I'll edit the post.

I'm using Firefox and multi-links, and have no problems with using the Tab key to show the lines! I did upgrade my Firefox to the latest version.

OK, so, I have a problem with this. Not in general, its just that I am overly incompetent. I'm on the Koi Quest, by the way.

When I keep pressing tab, it cycles through all of the top links...But then, when it goes to find the one in the picture, I can't find the box. As in, I can't find where its selected. I don't know if I'm just blind and losing it or something, but I am most definitely having a few issues. 8C

I'll assume you're at the section of the Koi Quest with the glacier? Unfortunately I can't go there myself because I've already finished the quest... what browser are you using to try it?
