Any other ideas?
I beg to differ. *Cough*TheRunaway*Cough*
Of course we could have games where we win GP with no gambling if that's more your flavor.
Hmm... How about a banking system where we can deposit GP and gain interest on it? *Shrugs*
Or, items that we can buy and store in an inventory that we can use at some later time?

Re: Uses for GP.
I don't want to get into items. If we gain interest and what-not, what would we buy with it? What would we do with it? Maybe there could be places that you have to buy memberships to go in (Membership with GP). And inside, you could play gambling games and stuff and gain more GP? And it costs GP to set up a trade and make offers and whatnot. But still, with all that, GP still isn't that functional. We need moar ideas.
Re: Uses for GP.
I'm still racking my brain here... We need more ideas of what to spend it on... Hmm... Well, I did suggest account/zoo upgrades if you are interested in what I have in mind for those.

Re: Uses for GP.
Well, the one I had thought of at first was being able to carry more than 5 eggs at a time.
This one I'm not sure you would like: Buying land on the map in certain sectors so as to place links to our zoos. As of right now, the only way to find people is on the forum and not every member joins the forum or posts on it. Of course, you could link to a, what I am calling, "User Map" so as not to confuse people when clicking on the "Explore Map".

Re: Uses for GP.
Oh, I like to user map idea.
But the extended egg thing... :/
I was thinking that people could have a limit of 50 creatures, and then they have to buy more "land" with GP to bump up the total number of creatures they could have to like 100 or 150. And they could keep on doing this when they need more space. And at the top, it could say: This zoo can hold up to 50 creatures or something XD
Sound good?

50? Ehhhh... I suppose so. Just don't make buying land too expensive. Just keep it down until we get more members. More members = more GP for the clickers. XD
Oh, here's an idea: GP donations. You can donate to another member.

Re: Uses for GP.
Here is what I am thinking.
Avatar Lottery
You get 1 entry for every 1 GP you deposit. A random entry wins the pot. So the more risk you put in, the more likely you are to win the stack.

Ooo, I very much like that idea.

Re: Uses for GP.
The only bad thing is that it's not someone making or losing money, it just shifts from one user to another.

Yikes. What would be the point of that? If it helps you to maintain the site, all right, that at least gives it a point; otherwise, it's just a big frustration for the players.

Re: Uses for GP.
Mineya does have a point. 50 is such a low number now that I think of it. Maybe 250 instead? After that we would have to buy more land.

Re: Uses for GP.
Could this not be on the main map as well? Maybe an arrow on each side of the map, and when we click on one, it redirects us to the "other side" of the "Avatar Planet", where we can have our zoos?

Re: Uses for GP.
Without buying Items Gp kinda doesn't have too much of a point. So far, the main point of it is to save up to buy starters from the Pirate ship right?
Currently if you abandon a creature it costs 10 gp and you get 10 gp when you adopt one of the abandoned creatures as well. I think it should cost a bit more to abandon than to adopt. Like 50 to abandon and 10 to adopt.

Assuming the lottery has no start bonus, the lottery will just be each player's donated money for a chance to win everyone else's.ignite444 wrote:UBFunkaneer wrote:The only bad thing is that it's not someone making or losing money, it just shifts from one user to another.

No, people enter the lottery and if they win, they just win something. Nothing else to it.UBFunkaneer wrote:Assuming the lottery has no start bonus, the lottery will just be each player's donated money for a chance to win everyone else's.ignite444 wrote:UBFunkaneer wrote:The only bad thing is that it's not someone making or losing money, it just shifts from one user to another.

Re: Uses for GP.
Maybey insta maturing potions?? The stronger the potion, the more closer to adulthood it will get.
Re: Uses for GP.
Or Gender Potions? Two specific potions, one to make a boy, one to make a girl. Can only be taken when an ungendered hatchling.

Re: Uses for GP.
Yeah. I'm thinking about getting a 2nd Otter Bear so I can breed my two otter bears, and if the two turn out to be the same gender, it would be a waste of 175,000 GP - That's equal to clicking 35,000 creatures!lordofseas wrote:Or Gender Potions? I know. Which is why I'm (slowly) working my way to the point of buying another dragon. AND hopefully, we have gender potions by then.
