From what I understand, it's the giant ones that had horns, and the smaller forms don't. But I dunno. The info given gives me the impression that the giant gilacorns had unicorn horns, while the smaller ones, because they act more like scavengers, don't have one simply because they evolved out of it? -shrugs- Just trying to think logically. XD

Anyway. Cute little guys. I wouldn't mind seeing either the tiny ones or the giant ones in my zoo. XD

Updates!

--This egg is small and plain.
--This lizard is rather dully colored, and it has a habit of stealing your gold coins.
--~~~It's developed black and white stripes, and you'd be best advised to keep your coin purse on a high shelf.
--Thief Lizards are desert-dwelling scavengers who will eat next to anything, excluding one particular variety of beetle. They can run on their hind legs at a very fast speed for their size, which comes in handy, considering how they steal their food. The males have a black stripe down their legs and across their belly, which they use to try to woo females, who look for the male with the thickest and darkest stripes.

I thought the gendered hatchlings looked good while I made 'em, but I'm definitely leaning towards remaking them bigger.
You might've noticed that the males are slightly smaller than the females--this is intentional, because in most reptile species the females are larger.

Hm, the hind legs on the first adult sprite look a little off to me. We'll wait to see PD's suggestions.

the adult sprites seem a bit big according to their ancestors and the other creatures on-site. :/ D: XD Maybe they can be a "tad" bit smaller. Smile

I can try, but I'm not sure how good they'll look if I try to do them size-appropriate. I hope it's okay if they're bigger, though--the turtle lion is supposed to be the largest animal, but the dragons sprite is bigger--because I really rather like the adult sprites as they are. I'm most comfortable in this size range, so if I suck, can we call in someone whose done smaller full-bodied animals, like the lemurs or S1 dragons? Because above all, I want these guys to look nice.

Hooray! I can't seem to manage another pose, though, so dimorphism's pretty much gone. But shading's good?

To be completely honest, I prefer the other adults, even if they are a bit big. And if you want to pull the 'relative sizes in comparison with the others' thing then I'll throw the Pentapus sprite at you. :X

Anyway, joking aside, the new adult doesn't seem right... I could crit it more, if no one wants to listen to me complain about how I prefer the other adults, but my main problem is the pose and it's anatomy. I mean, the other ones had a bit of awkward anatomy there too, but this one is just... Eh. That far hind leg looks a bit too large in relation to the close one. It might be the optical illusion that's coming up because the muscles are bunched up, but you can't see the outline because the closer leg is hiding it.

To be honest, I like the face on this one better, though I was kinda adverse to making another one smaller. I'll mess around with that back leg, though, because it was annoying me a little, too.
