Progress
Something about the darker parts keeps bugging me, but I just can't figure out what it is...So, if any of you guys can figure it out, don't hesitate to point accusatory fingers. Please. I'm not kidding.

try blending them more softly into the white. It is fur after all, not paint blotches XDSilentSkieBlue wrote:Progress

I kinda like the shading myself, but that's my opinion. The mouth I mean.

Whaa you wanted a tail, why didn't you say so?Digidude123 wrote:I see improvement in the body, but there still no tail, and the face doesn't really resemble a cow hippo's faceMirounga wrote:Yes I know hippos have more stubby legs and Digidude I will have to post my picture tomorrow since I can't get on my computer.Satyr76 wrote:Wow, Digi, those are great.
And that sketch does look like it would make a good S1 hatchling. it seems to have a few anatomy problems, though. I could be wrong, as I know nothing about art.
Edit: or
One with stubby legs and one with cow ears and the other with no cow ears. Do you like em. Need any more inprovements.
Here ya are Whaa how'd it get tilted
Did ya mean anything like that? Anyways if this isn't what you wanted ignite can do it.
And I'll get started on my hog monkeys.

I think it looks fine as it is, would it be possible for you to shade the other two sprites?Rebsingh wrote:try blending them more softly into the white. It is fur after all, not paint blotches XDSilentSkieBlue wrote:Progress

Yes, I agree. All you need to do is blend~Rebsingh wrote:try blending them more softly into the white. It is fur after all, not paint blotches XDSilentSkieBlue wrote:Progress

I like the shading in the mouth, too. Very nice! But isn't it a bit too... dark pink? Or is it just me? It's just that it's a harsh contrast to the softer creamy colors of the cow hippo.

I agree the contrast and blood red should be toned down a bit. But remember, it would look normal against the darkish-medium background of the site.Thistle wrote:Yes, I agree. The hatchling standing in water or:
Like that in the water.

For the S2 male hatchling, Digidude why don't you use that hatchling you made a few pages back.

Even if I did that, I would still need a female hatchling....Mirounga wrote:Just take the udder off.Digidude123 wrote:that's the S2 female hatchlingMirounga wrote:For the S2 male hatchling, Digidude why don't you use that hatchling you made a few pages back.

I like the last one, though it would be much fatter and have the head of a hippo, I'll give it a try.ignite444 wrote:He wants the male to look more aggressive.

Shaded the female S2
Now all we need is the S1, to shade it, and for someone to shade the female adult

I like the shading you used for the hatchlings but there could be a few more shades in it.
