Turkey Ducks

Post  blaz on Mon Dec 13, 2010 10:00 pm

Man there are some weird ducks in the avatar world, but I just found these guys in an episode I was watching. Decided to try my hand at lines for an adult. -

Lines need a bit of work yes, but I made that from scratch in about 30 minutes; its to be expected.

Pretty good work! Smile the wing seems a bit too far back I think and the feet/legs are too far back. Smile Let's see what phazzy says lol

The front body needs to be cut back a little more and then it'll be perfect. Very Happy

Nice to know my anatomical advice is appreciated, though I'm awful at anatomy myself. XD

I agree the wing looks too far back, or the head is too far forward, for that particular stance. It looks like the duck is in a 3/4 view, which would foreshorten the body. So the chest looks a bit large for that position. However, the position of the legs look like a side view. I'd recommend moving the legs apart–the close one back and the far one forward a smidgen and maybe a bit down as well.

Also the foot looks a bit deformed, but you did mention that you need to fix the lines, so yeah.

And have a pic of the turkey duck:

Just so others have a reference to look at.

No problem. C:

It's left leg looks like it's too far extended now, but other than that I don't have any other crits, I think.
