Some small edits : The edit on this one is unnoticeable.

And : Updated some shading in places, and made the stomach a bit fatter.

Awesome! I'll probably have the shading of the gendered cat done by tonight, if i get going on it.

What happened to the shaded version of the Adult Titiminy made?

The other sprites are nice so far.

I decided I'd like to shade them myself. I really wanted them done, and i didn't want to wait, so I began shading and I loved it.

Why orange? Miyuki was white. Nice sprites though.

Huh, strange. Whatever he wants I guess. Would be nice to have a white one though.

Weird. Miyuki was white... I'm confused as to why Reb would want an orange one... :/ But anyway.

The sprite looks like it could use a lot of work. I feel as though the body isn't as defined as I would like, though that could just be the massive amounts of fur that the cat has. And in that case, I feel like you need to add a bit of a texture to the shading. The shading right now looks flat and very basic. It needs more contrast; more shadows and highlights to give the sprite a bit of 'life' instead of making it look flat.

Hmmm.... this is the fire nation version so it is orange, there will be other versions cause a common cat is.... common...? XD And I agree that it needs to be shaded much better. Blaz, maybe you should ask Titi to do the rest. (And why aren't you coming on the IRC anymore?)

Well, you told me not to do other versions. I suggested the idea, but you turned it down. And also, I am not letting anyone touch these, these are ma babies. Adding more definition (which I think it has enough of) would be redoing the shading. There are about 50 shades light and dark together, very subtle shades. All i'm saying is fixing it would be insanely hard, if you want to keep the same shading technique.

Well the shading is kind of like mythical moments shading :/ so you need to do some more colors and more shades and shade the whole body. The current ones look like plastic... they need to look like a cat. The one that Titi did was very well done. and you need to get your butt back on the IRC XD

You really think it looks like mythicalmoments? Go take a look, its not at all like mythical moments shading. And how can I possibly add more shades? There are 43 shades alone on the gendered cat

I think Rebsingh wants the shading of the cat's to be like the other creatures on avadopts.

Well thats really not gonna happen unless a spend a few years studying LAG's shading. My shading technique is nothing like LAG's and i cant just make one exactly like their's without taking a year to do it.

All shading doesnt have to be the exact same. If you wanted only one shading technique, then you should use only one spriter. Different spriter, different technique.

LAG didn't make most of the creatures. o.O

All the spriters on avadopts used dhitering for shading.

Well, as I said, you want one certain technique, let it be known. If you only want dithering, say it. I don't dither, so i might as well take my cats and close the topic.

They need to have a bit more contrast and be spread out over the sprite. It still looks like a piece of plastic type shading.

Re: Persian Cats

It doesn't matter how many shades you have... The shading doesn't cover the whole body. There is a lack of shading on the rest of the body, which makes the sprite look flat. It's almost verging on pillow shading, I guess.

And I just said this in the Mooselion thread, but everyone has their own style of shading. If we wanted all the shading to be the same on Avadopts, then there needs to be only one spriter. It's not the fact that the shading doesn't look like the shading on the other creatures, it's that the shading doesn't look complete in my eyes.

Dithering might be a good choice here, because it cuts down on the amount of shades to use, not to mention it gives the sprite a texture, which makes it look more real. I don't know what else I can say that will demonstrate my point. The shading needs to be darker in places to make the sprite stand out. Making the darkest shadows only a few shades darker doesn't make the sprite look 'alive'.

The main color of the cat is nearly all over the place, making it look flat. Highlights would help, a fur texture would help, and defining the shading more would help.

And please not that I'm not trying to be mean. I'm trying to help. I'm just offering my own honest opinion on this sprite. I am not bashing your work, and I am not trying to insult you.

Yeah...As mentioned many times. The shading is flat. Note that all of the other creatures on Avadopts have definition and texture, and these basically look like flat colors before shading. Dithering is a good idea. It tends to add texture and dimension, perfect for fur. I would study up on dithering if you want to do the cats by yourself. :/
