Well, i dont know if this looks better.. i like the one with the shorter tail better.
what do you think?

I like the shorter tail, myself. It looks more like a dog's tail, and not so much rat-like, if you know what I mean... And I agree in that the tail doesn't look connected. It doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the body. The tail looks like it was stuck on the end at the last second.

And I don't know if you done with her or not, but I think there's a lack of shading on the head, and legs, along with some thick outlines on her upper forelimb.

Gah stop saying what I'm thinking XD I said in the chat that there is some lack of shade :/ maybe darkening the base color of the fur so that you can fit a wider shade range would do the trick.

But yes. I think if you add some darker shades to the fur, you can create a nice fluffy dog... -nods- Add some more detailing to the fur and whatnot.

because of my lack of time you are allowed to work on this sprite.
i will make more sprites when i dont have to learn so much for school every day...

I finished the s2 hatchie sketch and made a preview round through my class, i'm warning you:
It is adorable, i will upload once camera is charged again (and else i snag the batteries from my wii)

less playfull then i planned but sure as heck cute

blah.. its not always easy finding an active pose for puppies..
and yea the leg may nots eem comferble hmm, though i love the result (and yes i will too freze a bunch at that stage haha)
